An example to my siblings?

It could be that studying history at the University of Helsinki and all the great tales of exuberant student life acted as a positive example to some of my younger siblings. After I had begun studying, three of my other siblings chose to study history after completing upper-secondary school, one in Helsinki and the others at the University of Oulu.

The career choices of my siblings have been closer to what is expected of humanities graduates: two became history teachers and one became a political journalist. At first, I dreamt of a career as a journalist or a diplomat myself, but in the end it was industry that exerted the greatest pull. I come from a family of 11 brothers and sisters, so in addition to us four, others have also made successful study choices.
