My best memories at the University of Helsinki

My best moments at the University of Helsinki are related to my doctoral studies and the research community, whereas I remember friendships and student life from the years previous to those times. For most of the time I was working on my doctoral thesis, I was working somewhere else, but at the seminars and on conference trips I got to participate in research life in its best moments. I also clearly remember how intense and near obsessive my state of mind was when writing the introduction to my thesis. The experience was wonderful, and I wish I could still experience something like it. I doubt whether very many such periods could fit in one lifetime.
