My best moments at the University of Helsinki

Even though at no point in my studies did I ever dream of becoming a researcher, my best memories of University life had to do with practicing what I had learned in the Bachelor’s seminar, in Master’s seminars and writing the Master’s dissertation. Analysis, actually producing text and the discussion among the students felt more enjoyable than when the lecturer spoke and the group listened. For all that, a number of lecturers, such as Maija Lehtonen and from Finnish literature Maria-Liisa Nevala, come to mind as inspiring speakers.
