Dreams about the Future of the Next Generation

Märta Tikkanen dreams about staying healthy and being able to write whatever she wants.

“I also hope to be able to see what all my grandchildren become. The oldest is 28 and the youngest three. It is interesting to see if any of them will want to write.”

One of them, a 7-year-old boy, reminds Tikkanen of his grandfather, that is, Märta Tikkanen’s late husband, Henrik Tikkanen.

“Many of the children can draw wonderfully. They have inherited that skill from their grandfather, because I can’t draw at all.”
