New Techniques for Subtitling for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing

Respeaking – Interpreting for Subtitles. Humanities research matters, the Faculty of Arts of the University of Helsinki, 2014.

The research project Respeaking—Interpreting for Subtitles, coordinated by Liisa Tiittula, was one of the Faculty of Arts projects that received funding from the Future Fund of the University of Helsinki. The purpose of the Fund was to support interdepartmental collaboration between researchers in 2013.

In the video, Professor Tiittula talks more about the research project and shares her views on the significance of research in the humanities. The video is only available in Finnish.
