Skills put to good use

Since my university times I have been actively involved in various organisations. At the moment I am the chairman of the board for Keravan musiikkiopisto, the music institute of my home town. I am also auditor for CISV Finland and member of the nomination committee for FIBS, Finnish Business in Society. Children and youth, intercultural education and sustainable development are all important to me.

I try to put my professional skills to good use in the voluntary work. For example, I chaired the music institute's strategy workshop where we discussed our purpose and future. I also have a reputation for well-prepared meetings.

CISV is a global organisation dedicated to educating and inspiring peace through building inter-cultural friendship, co-operation and understanding. I was a ‘CISVer’ as a child, now my own sons have been to several international camps - and I support the good cause as a volunteer. (Picture: Linda Nummelin)
