Donner’s Works

Jörn Donner has written over 60 books and directed and produced several films. His directorial debut won an award at the 1963 Venice Film Festival, and he was awarded the State Prize for Literature in both 1971 and 1985. He won the Finlandia Literary Prize in 1985 for his book Far och son (‘Father and son’). In 2004 he was awarded the Finland Prize by the Swedish Academy, and in 2008 the State Prize for Arts for his contributions to culture and the entire field of arts.
