Katariina Styrman

Katariina Styrman has long been active in the University's Student Union, and has now moved on to act as a representative for Finnish sauna culture. In her spare time Styrman works on the board of the University’s Alumni association, with the brief to make the University relevant for those who have already transitioned into the workplace. It’s not unheard of for her to let slip a politically incorrect remark or two, safe in the knowledge that she is a qualified historian, of course.

Katariina Styrman has not spent a lot of time thinking about her prospective career. Her duties in the Student Union have changed according to her interests at the time, and in the future Styrman intends to pursue her own interests. Her only requirements for a workplace are that there is a good atmosphere and that she can agree with their values.

Katariina Styrman’s present work duties don’t have much to do with the University but she still keeps in touch with her old student mates. Styrman became active in the University of Helsinki Alumni Association in 2015. For her, being an alumna means constant communication with the University.
